\n In this article, we\u2019re introducing Dominic, who supports our Cloud system, ICT & Security team as an intern. Originally from the Netherlands, Dominic brings a passion for Cyber Security and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Let\u2019s hear what he has to say about his time at CLIQ.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Hi Dominic! What made you choose CLIQ as a company for your internship?\n <\/h3>\n

\n CLIQ has a great location, close to many stores and easily accessible by public transportation. Additionally, CLIQ has a strong reputation at my school when it comes to internships, which made it an obvious choice for me.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n How does your daily internship life look like?\n <\/h3>\n

\n When people in the company have technical issues with their laptops, I\u2019m there to troubleshoot and help solve the problems. Besides that, I manage Microsoft accounts in the admin environment. This includes tasks like email sharing and creating new Microsoft accounts.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n What\u2019s one skill or lesson you\u2019ve learned during your time here?\n <\/h3>\n

\n A key lesson I\u2019ve learned is how important it is to stay patient and structured when solving technical problems. You often need to follow a step-by-step approach to figure out what\u2019s going wrong and how to fix it effectively.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n How has the experience at CLIQ helped shape your personal career goals?\n <\/h3>\n

\n Working here has given me a better understanding of IT support in a professional environment. It confirmed my interest in Cyber Security and showed me how crucial IT administration is for a company\u2019s daily operations. This experience has definitely strengthened my motivation to continue in this field.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n What advice would you give to someone starting their first internship?\n <\/h3>\n

\n Don\u2019t be afraid to ask questions and ask for help when needed. Everyone knows that you\u2019re here to learn, and people are happy to support you. Also, try to be proactive \u2014 if you see something you can help with, take the initiative!\n <\/p>\n
\n

\n Also Dominic\u2019s direct manager \u2014 our Lead Cloud Systems Administrator, Zabi \u2014 has expressed his satisfaction with the valuable and fresh perspective brought in by our intern: \u201cHaving Dominic in our team as a Cloud system, ICT & Security intern has been a breath of fresh air. He is not just learning but actively contributing, helping us refine our ICT processes and strengthen security. \n In this 2-part article series, we talk to two of our interns and learn more about their daily life at CLIQ. We\u2019re giving you a glimpse into their journey with the company and the impact they\u2019re already making. Here you read part 1.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Internship at CLIQ\u2019s Finance Department\n <\/h3>\n

\n Meet Ant\u00f3nio, our current Finance Intern. He joined CLIQ in March for a four-month internship as part of his International Business studies at Hogeschool Utrecht. As a member of the Finance team in Accounting, he supports daily operations while learning from the experts around him. Originally from the coastal town of Cascais, Portugal, he brings fresh ideas and an international outlook to the team.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Hi Ant\u00f3nio ! What made you choose CLIQ as a company for your internship?\n <\/h3>\n

\n When looking for an internship, Finance was always present in my mind. After seeing the CLIQ Digital application and carefully reading it, it fit perfectly with my standards\u2014not only in terms of what I was going to learn and do, but also because of the cultural diversity in the company, which made me feel welcome and excited.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n How does your daily internship life look like?\n <\/h3>\n

\n My daily internship life starts by waking up at 6 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays so I can get to the office by 8 a.m. Once I arrive, I start my tasks and get hands-on work done, understanding what needs to be executed and doing it. I usually leave the office at 4 p.m\n <\/p>\n

\n On Wednesdays and Thursdays, I work from home, which is also great. It\u2019s a routine I\u2019ve developed since starting at CLIQ, and I really enjoy it. I\u2019m always excited to go to the office and work on my finance skills with my fantastic team.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n What\u2019s one skill or lesson you\u2019ve learned during your time here?\n <\/h3>\n

\n One skill I\u2019ve acquired while working at CLIQ is attentiveness to detail and technical finance skills\u2014especially in Excel. I already had some experience with Excel, but I\u2019ve been able to greatly improve since it\u2019s our main tool.\n <\/p>\n

\n A key lesson I\u2019ve learned is that it\u2019s okay to make mistakes. I shouldn\u2019t be afraid to make them or to ask questions\u2014every question and idea is valid and taken seriously.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n How has the experience at CLIQ helped shape your personal career goals?\n <\/h3>\n

\n It helped me understand a bit more about how Finance works inside a company, which is something I\u2019ll definitely need in the future.\n <\/p>\n

\n I\u2019ve also learned a lot about teamwork, working with various people, and ensuring everything flows smoothly. It has improved my professional communication skills, especially through assisting and participating in meetings throughout the week.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n What advice would you give to someone starting their first internship?\n <\/h3>\n

\n I would say: don\u2019t be shy and don\u2019t be afraid to take risks. Be proactive, pay attention to details, and make notes of anything you think might help you later. Ask questions about anything you\u2019re unsure of\u2014because at the end of the day, you\u2019re an intern, and you\u2019re here to learn and gain experience.\n <\/p>\n

\n Teamwork has always been the core of successful projects at CLIQ. Whether in the office or remote, collaborating with others is how we solve problems, create ideas, and get things done. But in recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has started to change how teams work together\u2014sometimes in big ways.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n How Team Collaboration Has Changed\n <\/h3>\n

\n Before AI tools became common, teamwork often meant lots of emails, long meetings, and manual tasks. Planning projects, taking notes, assigning tasks\u2014everything required time and effort. During the pandemic, remote work grew, and digital tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom helped us to stay connected and organized.\n <\/p>\n

\n Now, and this is what we are feeling everyday, AI is stepping in to take collaboration to the next level.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n How AI Helps Teams Work Smarter\n <\/h3>\n

\n AI can save time and make teamwork more efficient. Here are just a few examples:\n <\/p>\n

\n Smart assistants<\/b> can schedule meetings, summarise conversations, or send reminders.\n <\/div>\n
\n AI writing tools<\/b> help draft emails or reports faster and with better grammar.\n <\/div>\n
\n Project management platforms<\/b> can now predict deadlines, can suggest task priorities, and even alert you to potential bottlenecks.\n <\/div>\n
\n Real-time translation<\/b> powered by AI makes global teamwork smoother than ever.\n <\/div>\n

\n All of this means less time spent on repetitive tasks\u2014and more time to focus on the big picture.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Don\u2019t Forget the Human Side\n <\/h3>\n

\n While AI can boost productivity, it\u2019s important to remember: teamwork is still about people. We strongly believe that good collaboration depends on trust, empathy, and clear communication\u2014things AI can\u2019t fully replace.\n <\/p>\n

\n Spending time checking in with teammates, giving feedback, and just having human conversations is still key to a healthy and creative team environment, and that\u2019s what we emphasize at CLIQ day by day. AI is a powerful tool, but it works best when it supports real human connection.
