At CLIQ we sell subscription-based digital products to consumers worldwide. We license content from partners, bundle it to digital products, and sell them via performance marketing. Over the years, we have become an expert in turning consumer interest into sales by monetising online traffic using an omnichannel approach.

The four pillars of CLIQ’s business model are:

I. Customer Acquisition. Our focus is firstly on customer acquisition via shoppable ads and not necessarily on customer retention.

II. Digital Products. Our focus is to always generate gross profit for every digital product sold.

III. Monetisation. Our focus is to successfully monetise digital products and facilitate the most convenient customer payment methods.

IV. Technology. Our focus is to continually enhance our proprietary platform to support faster time-to-market, expand AI capabilities, and utilise data-driven analytics to drive growth and success.

Our Leadership

Our management constantly works towards our ambition to build an all-in-one digital content world people love. In addition, the leadership is passionate about the business with a deep understanding and a wealth of experience in the streaming industry arena and performance marketing. CLIQ operated in 40 countries, with 132 employees worldwide, from 33 different nationalities as at 31 December 2024. We are headquartered in Düsseldorf with offices in Amsterdam and Paris.

Our History

Founded in 2005, CLIQ Digital started off by licensing and selling single-category content services, using TV advertising only. With a strong network of content partners, payment partners and advertising expertise partners, we were able to effectively grow the business over the years. Since the start, we know how to spark interest in our digital (streaming) services. In 2019, we discovered the power of bundling streaming content which resulted in releasing our first all-in-one streaming service. At the same time, we also started our own online advertising team to make CLIQ Digital less dependent on sales from affiliate marketing partners. Moving forward, we have built on the success of our bundled streaming services, as well as on the success of our own online advertising team. Over the years, our service offering has evolved by making investments in enhanced quality and quantity of content and improving the content platform’s user experience and user interface. We started by selling static black and white logos for Nokia mobile phones, advertised on television only. Over the past decades we have experienced the evolution of:

  • Digital (streaming) content
  • Internet enabled devices (including mobile phones)
  • Advertising
  • Payment methods
  • (Telephone) networks
  • Consumer behaviour and trends

These changes will continue in the years to come and we are very excited to be part of this evolution. It is our ambition to continue evolving and being a global online performance marketing expert.
