We once again sat down with our CEO Luc Voncken to talk with him about CLIQ and current industry developments. He tells us about an eventful summer and explains what CLIQ will be focussing on in the final months of the year.
Hi Luc! How have your last weeks of summer been?
The last few weeks have been characterised by many exciting business meetings, networking and promising new insights. Among other things, we visited ClickBid Ibiza, a conference for experts in the online business. They created an environment that facilitated meaningful connections with industry leaders by carefully curating attendees and business opportunities. Another highlight of late summer was the Affiliate World Conference in Budapest, where the world’s top affiliate marketers and e-commerce entrepreneurs of Europe meet.
What is your main takeaway from these events?
Well, all in all, they offered many valuable insights and gave us a lot of new inspiration. We, for example, were encouraged by the fact that the e-commerce focus in the social media sector continues to grow and, thanks to the popularity of many platforms, there is still a big number of opportunities in the performance marketing sector. We were also inspired to further expand our content offering and find new niches. But what’s particularly great about these events are the collaborative opportunities and the networking in general. Our industry is currently more exciting and challenging than ever before, which means that dialogue is essential.
Sounds promising! Now that we are already in autumn, how should the CLIQ year continue?
I personally appreciate the professional focus that the cold season usually brings after a warm summer. Seen by the fact that the current business year is challenging, not only for the industry in general but also for us at CLIQ, there is still a lot of work to do, and we are very motivated. As we look ahead, we are excited about the potential to leverage new insights to drive growth and innovation within CLIQ and develop new opportunities for effective collaborations. It’s going to be an exciting time!
