The new year offers a clean slate and presents an opportunity to set new ambitious goals and make plans to achieve them. Just like many, we at CLIQ have thought about our aims for the year ahead and have set new year’s resolutions – both personal and professional.
We sat down with 10 of our co-workers to hear about their career goals for this year and find out what they wish to learn in 2023. In part one, we introduce the first 5 colleagues and their new year’s resolutions to you.
SENTA, SENIOR LICENSING MANAGER
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
I want to gain an even deeper understanding of the taste and needs of our platforms’ target groups!
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
To create the perfect standard license agreement with our legal team in the lead (we are working on it 😉).
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I hope that we all can grow personally and that we can gain even more from each other’s expertise.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
To learn an instrument together with my 7-year-old son; right now his favourite is the drums…
ADAM PINTER, SENIOR DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
In 2023, I’ll explore the world of AI-powered marketing and see what possible uses may be discovered after getting so much success on Google’s Marketing Platform with programmatic real-time bidding campaigns.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
In addition to developing my management skills, I intend to help my team members develop, grow, and achieve their goals.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
In 2023, we have ambitious market- and vertical expansion plans. I am extremely proud of my team and of what we’ve accomplished in 2022. I am delighted that we keep growing, and that we can welcome and onboard new team members in 2023.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
My wife and are looking into buying a nice and comfortable home for our family so that our son will have a comfortable home to grow up in.
JEAN BERTRAND, APPRENTICE FRONT-END DEVELOPMENT
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
I wish to learn the basics of project management and to become a SCRUM master.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
Given that I will graduate this year, I hope to be able to keep working with my current team and become a project manager or SCRUM master.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I hope that our team will grow and that we will improve our capacity to work together and closely but also get more support from other teams within the company.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
My focus this year is to graduate successfully but also to improve my cooking skills by attending classes, trying new recipes, and hosting dinners for my close ones.
MATHIJS, FINANCE MANAGER
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
Make and, in particular, keep my team and other colleagues happy at CLIQ by working together, challenging everyone to become the best professional they can be, supporting them in their growth and achieving goals together.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
I don’t have any wishes for my career given that I’m currently working in the position I want – I just hope to keep our great Finance team together and, if needed, add new team members as well!
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
When we look back at the end of 2023, I hope to have finetuned the cooperation within our Finance team and to have been able to keep up with the developments and new products at CLIQ. Also, I hope to have developed into even better finance professionals as a team and to have been able to increasingly comply with procedures to make all of our lives easier without losing the flexibility and creativity that characterises CLIQ.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
Waking up early at 5 a.m. (or at least give it a try for as long as I can manage), more variety in sports activities (now it’s mainly cycling, but also want to take up yoga and work out more often) and helping others in need as much as I can!
JESSICA SMITH, JUNIOR DEVELOPER
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
For the new year, my professional goals are to continue to work on my growth mindset, learn from and share knowledge with my peers, and step out of my comfort zone. I also want to take more time to work on personal coding projects to bring those learned skills into my work and consider where to start specialising my skillset.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
For my career, I look forward to taking on more responsibilities and becoming a more influential and impactful team member.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
For my team, I hope we continue to expand with new team members, do team-building workshops to get to know each other better and collaborate more on projects.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
Personally for 2023, I want to continue to learn Dutch, travel to some bucket list places, attend more live music events, and step further outside my comfort zone for overall personal growth.
