With the holidays approaching, decorations starting to pop up around the office. But what truly makes the holiday season at CLIQ special is the excitement and enthusiasm it sparks in our colleagues. In this article, we ask three Cliqers what the Christmas season means to them.

We interviewed three Cliqers who all celebrate Christmas: Sophie, our Head of Communications, Ellen, our Sales Director, and Brian, our Senior Digital Marketing Specialist. The goal? To find out how they bring the festive spirit to the office and what Christmas means to them.

Brian, what do the holidays mean to you personally?

Christmas embodies the spirit of togetherness, warmth, and reflection. It’s a time when people come together and create lasting memories. It represents a season of generosity, kindness, and gratitude. For me, it’s a moment to pause, reflect on the year that has gone by, and appreciate the love and connections we have in our lives. It’s about cherishing moments with family and friends, sharing laughter, and showing appreciation for each other. Christmas signifies a beautiful reminder of the importance of compassion, empathy, and spreading joy to those around us.

Sophie, what do the holidays mean to you personally?

Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I was born in December, so it feels like it is meant to be. To me, Christmas means cosiness, coming home, family, beautiful scents, lovely music, making others happy and…festive food!

Ellen, what do the holidays mean to you personally?

Christmas is a time to relax, reflect and enjoy the time spent with the people who are the closest to you! Not everyone has the classic family set-up, so it’s important to spend the time how you feel fit with people you love.

Brian, do you have any special traditions that you look forward to during the holidays?

Every Christmas season in my family entails decorating the Christmas tree, listening to Christmas music, making mulled wine and mulled cider, and having a delicious home-cooked meal with family and friends.

Sophie, what is your favourite Christmas memory?

When I was 8 or 9, it snowed like crazy on Christmas Eve in our village. I had been given a wooden sledge as a present and my grandpa took me out into the street and pulled me through the fluffy fresh snow! That was magical and is still a beloved memory.

Ellen, if you could wish for one thing this holiday season, what would it be?

I wish my team to have the most incredible 2024. They are the kindest, most caring, funny, and hardworking people that I know. I am so lucky to have them in my life and they make me a better person. I am so proud of what we have become, what we have been through, and what we have built together!

We hope that you were able to get inspired by our colleagues’ enthusiasm and wish you Happy Holidays from all of us at CLIQ!
