Meet Amit Narain, our Senior ICT Administrator with a passion for problem-solving, collaboration, and fostering a positive work environment. In this article, Amit shares three invaluable lessons he’s learnt during his journey at CLIQ. These insights shed light on the importance of effective communication, the power of teamwork, and the value of integrity in building a thriving career and workplace culture.

Let’s dive into Amit’s experiences he’s gained along the way.

#1 Lesson: Communication

At the start of my career, my primary responsibility was to support users with their computer problems. Some issues could take 20 to 30 minutes to resolve, often leading to users becoming impatient and questioning the duration. This added stress and pressure to my role.

I have learnt that effective communication is one of the most important skills in IT.

Understand the user’s problem before jumping to solutions. This involves paying attention to their descriptions, asking clarifying questions that are easy for everyone to understand, avoiding complex terminology, and showing empathy towards their frustrations.

Staying calm and being polite helped users stay calm and made them more patient and accepting of the time it took to resolve their problems.

#2 Lesson: The Feeling of “We”

My goal is to always achieve successful outcomes by giving my best effort. At CLIQ, I’ve learnt that you never walk alone, both professionally and personally. The company’s rich diversity makes it feel like home. It’s like having a supportive family at work, where there’s always someone to lean on.

#3 Lesson: Honesty & Respect

The third lesson I’ve learnt at CLIQ is that being honest and having strong moral principles are very important. These qualities build trust and respect in the workplace. Acting with integrity means being truthful, keeping promises, and treating others with respect. This helps create a positive and supportive work environment. By showing these qualities, we make the workplace a place where everyone feels safe and valued, and where we can all succeed together.

Thank you for time and your valuable tips, Amit!
