The coffee is as hot as the year is fresh, so let’s take some time for this year’s first edition of Coffee with Luc. We sat down together with Luc, our CEO, to speak about one of his favourite topics and main business focus: streaming! In this interview, you will find out about his thoughts on the industry, and he will talk about his personal content preferences.
WHAT MAKES THE STREAMING INDUSTRY SO SPECIAL FOR YOU?
The streaming industry is constantly changing and that is what makes this business so exciting. The demand determines the offer like in almost no other industry. For this reason, it is important to recognise, reflect on, and address the rapidly growing and changing customer demands, needs, and wishes. “Entertainment” in 2023 is a classic bulk commodity and, as an active player in this market, you need to be fast, innovative, and brave enough to try out new things. I have always loved challenges and love solving them with creativity, so I cannot think of any other industry that could be more exciting to work in. From a personal perspective, I enjoy the endless possibilities that today’s streaming offers – it has never been easier to discover new and exciting content, to learn and to broaden personal horizons.
WHAT KIND OF STREAMING PERSON ARE YOU?
A multi-streamer, but in moderation. I love digitalism in all its forms, and I consume a lot of media daily, but it’s important to me to balance my consumption with sufficient off-screen time.
WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL FAVOURITE STREAMING CONTENT CATEGORY?
That always depends on my mood. I’m a big fan of everything audio-visual, doesn’t matter whether it’s music or audiobooks. I walk to the office every day. This is an important part of my morning routine and gives me the possibility to clear my head before my regular workday starts. During these walks, I’m often accompanied by an audiobook of my choice, which is usually an exciting novel or an inspiring biography.
