The new year offers a clean slate and presents an opportunity to set new ambitious goals and plan how to achieve them. Just like many, we at CLIQ have thought about our intentions for the year ahead and have set new year’s resolutions – both professionally as well as personally.
We sat down with ten of our co-workers to find out about their career goals for this year and hear about what they wish to learn in 2023. Here’s part two, where we feature the last five colleagues and their new year’s resolutions. You can find the first part here.
AISHAH, DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
After working with Google Ads for the last year, I now realise how complex it is and how much there is still to learn. I would like to expand my Google knowledge by learning new campaign strategies.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
I wish to grow my DSP and Google accounts with new projects that are in the pipeline.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I would love to share my DSP knowledge with colleagues like Marcel and Alex to create a strong team with them.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
My boyfriend and I bought a house in October 2022 and we are renovating it all by ourselves. I would love to have it finished by summer 2023 so we can enjoy garden parties with friends and family on warm summer evenings.
JANINE, SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
In a fast-evolving industry, it is always important for a legal department to keep up with the pace of changing business models. Also, with our platform cliq.de we need to know the latest developments in regulation so we can support the business in the best possible way.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
To grow at the same pace as our business, and to learn from my colleagues across all departments.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I hope the legal team as well as all other departments continue to cooperate, contribute, and develop so we can make it to the next level together.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
No more excuses not to go to the gym!
PRISCILLA, JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICER FINANCE
What do you wish to learn in 2023 professionally?
Professionally, I’d like to acquire more soft skills, especially in the line of emotional intelligence. This will enable me to be a better team player.
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
For my career, I’d like to see myself engaging in more projects and with more stakeholders.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I’d like to see my team continue to engage in more team-building activities such as competitive games that could create a sense of collaboration. I mean, we already do that, but once every month wouldn’t be bad!
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
Yes, and I will tell you when I see you! 😉
MARCEL, DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER
What do you wish for your career in 2023?
I would love to keep growing as a marketer, learning new techniques, and improving CLIQ sales. I would also like to study something related to leadership and marketing to have more management skills and be a better manager. I plan to take on more responsibility and grow within the company and also as a person.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I plan to improve team communication and have a constant and fluid communication flow, which makes us an even more aligned team in all our processes. Neither distance nor being a young team can make us fail if we stay together and focused on our goals and processes.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
For me, 2023 is an important year. I have everything planned to move out of my parent’s house, which has been a hard thing to do considering how high rents are in Barcelona. I want to become more independent and focus on my mental and physical health. Professionally, I want new challenges and to learn even more.

In 2023, I hope to strengthen my leadership and time management skills.

In 2023, I expect to remain challenged, stay motivated, and achieve new goals in my job.
How do you hope your team develops in 2023?
I hope my team continues to have an open line of communication, encouraging a culture of constructive criticism and feedback.
Is there anything you would want to achieve in 2023 in your personal life?
Aside from being in good health alongside my loved ones (including my colleagues 😉), I aim to continue evolving as a person and become a better version of myself.
